Emerald Pass Park was designed within one of several Hunt communities located in East El Paso. The design intent of the park was to create a welcoming green area that promoted return visits within the community. It currently provides the local neighborhood with a refreshing outdoor area and plenty of open area for children to play.

Scattered plantings mimic the flowering desert environment as it transitions into a playground area adjacent to a large open lawn. The winding walkways too provide the area with connectivity as one crosses the park and approaches a larger swale that is accompanied by mass plantings and a storm water management feature.

Sites Southwest is the Landscape Architect of Record for this project. David A. Parra led the project design phases during his tenure there.
