Greenway Studio is a collaborative design studio composed of dedicated landscape architects with the goal of creating enjoyable environments.
We strive to develop healthy places where people live, work, play, shop, and experience vibrant landscape design. Our designs demonstrate a deep understanding of environmental planning, sustainable development, new urbanism principles, water harvesting techniques and best practices in the field. Our expertise ranges from community parks and sports fields / park ponds to more personal spaces such as schools, medical offices and community gardens. Our studio is also well rounded in the use of local remediation landscape to include drought tolerant plants, native grasses, and the different hydromulch techniques that make for a successful American Southwestern landscape.

As principal of Greenway Studio Luis shares a combined experience of over ten years in the industry of landscape architecture. He is a Texas Tech graduate, a Red Raider at heart from having completed his Bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture. Luis plays a key and influential role when inspiring others with Southwest landscape best practices. His attention to detail and sense of place is the base for site sensitive design and a harmonious balance between social and environmental design.
Luis is especially keen in managing projects of all scales and through multiple jurisdictions. His commitment and distinctive design make for a pleasurable transformation of the landscape and deliver health, safety, and welfare conscious design. In the end his approach is to promote sustainable design through the pleasant combination of native landscape material and introduction of water harvesting techniques. As a Texas Licensed Irrigator, Luis adds a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience that assures efficiency at all levels of landscape design.

A native of all places and having grown up throughout Latin America, David Parra is the founding partner of Greenway Studio LLC in El Paso. He was educated at Texas Tech University where he earned a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture; and Macquarie University in Sydney Australia where he later completed a Masters of Environmental Planning. It is his passion for Landscape Architecture and worldly experiences that bring a rich and varied background to his work.
David's collaborative approach and dedication ensures a fully integrated landscape, and his work throughout the Southwest brings a deep understanding of water conservation practices, sustainable design, and the environment as a whole. His attention to detail and aesthetic sense allow him to make innovative landscapes on many scales. David has completed numerous projects from Parks and Streetscapes to local Community Gardens and more complex facilities such as Medical Campuses, and Operations and Distribution Centers. His experience on the field also make him keen in delivering efficiently from design through construction.
